We are a Canadian incorporated, Quebec registered, not-for-profit business based in downtown Montreal, dedicated to providing Lego and money for the sole benefit of children and families and for programs, initiatives and other charitable purposes, to support and enhance the lives for children and families across Canada. So support our journey by donating or/and sharing our fundraiser to help get Lego into the hands of hospitalized children.
For every dollar donated, 60 cents will solely be used to purchase and donate Lego sets to children of the Montreal Children's Hospital.
For every dollar donated, 30 cents goes towards the healthy kids fund of the Montreal Children's Hospital, which allows children to receive emergency care, get access to specialized treatment, help low income families cover medical expenses, and more.
Bricks4Hope is a newly registered Canadian not-for-profit organisation, created for the purpose of spreading the values that playing with Lego provide to disadvantaged children. Playing with Lego provides an outlet that provides joy and creativity to people of all ages, while developing mental fortification that teaches people adaptability and the ability to create various solutions in an everchanging world. Children are our future, so we want to encourage the values of play and combining them with outdoor physical activity to raise money to donate Lego and funds to institutions that share our mission.
We, Bricks4Hope have partnered with the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation to realise our shared goal, because we would like to give you the opportunity to help us realise our goals. With your help, we can go from donating a Lego set to one child, to donating Lego sets to at least 501 children.
The “Building Hope 1 Brick at a Time” fundraiser will be raising money to purchase and donate Lego sets to children of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, through their foundation. This fundraiser will also contribute to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Healthy Kids Fund, which gives the hospital resources to afford equipment and services, where and when they are needed most. Emergency surgeries, rehabilitation, treatment from specialists, purchasing life-saving equipment, research for pediatric diseases, such as diabetes and cancer, and financial aid towards struggling families due to their child’s/children’s hospitalization are some critical uses that this fund can cover.
The monies raised in this fundraiser will be distributed as follows:
Firstly, between 3% and 5% will be deducted from the revenue to pay for PayPal transaction fees. Then 60% of the funds raised will be used solely for purchasing and donating new Lego sets to hospitalized children of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, through their foundation (The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation). 30% of the funds raised will be donated to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Healthy Kids Fund, in the form of a cheque, and at the same time as the Lego will be donated. Lastly, the remaining 7% to 5% of funds raised will be paid to us, Bricks4Hope, so we can continue realising our mission.
We hope that we may count on you to donate to Bricks4Hope!
